Jesus: The Heart of Our Faith

The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ offer all of us a path to transformation, hope, and new life. Whether you're seeking answers, comfort, or a fresh start, we welcome you to explore who Jesus is and experience how His love can change your life.

Who is Jesus?

Jesus is more than a historical figure. He is the living Son of God who invites each of us into a personal relationship with God. As scripture tells us, "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Jesus' life and teachings show us that God’s grace is not something we earn—it is a gift freely given to all. His resurrection brings hope and healing to a broken world and offers us new life in Him. “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10).

Why Jesus Matters Today

In a world filled with uncertainty, Jesus remains the anchor for our hope. “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). His grace transforms lives, offering forgiveness, purpose, and peace. The resurrection is not just an event from the past—it is the foundation of our faith and a source of new beginnings today. “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

The Power of Scripture

We are passionate about the Bible. God's Word is a light in our lives, guiding us toward truth, healing, and grace. As Psalm 119:105 declares, “Your word is a lamp to my feet, a light on my path.” We believe that scripture is more than just a book—it is God’s living Word, relevant to the challenges and joys we face every day. As we gather together, we dive deep into scripture to understand its richness and how it shapes us into people of grace, truth, and love.

A Journey of Grace, Truth, and Inclusion

We believe that the grace of God is for everyone. Jesus consistently reached out to those on the margins of society, reminding us that no one is beyond the reach of God’s love. “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28). This message of inclusivity is central to our faith at St. Andrew’s.

We understand that many have been hurt or excluded by the church in the past, including members of the LGBTQI+ community. Here, we strive to reflect the boundless love of Jesus, who said, “Whoever comes to me I will never drive away” (John 6:37). We are committed to being a church where everyone, regardless of their background or identity, can encounter the grace of God. This is not about compromising truth, but about living out the truth that God's love is available to all.
