Order of Service

We welcome all gathering for worship this morning or later in the week. Whether you attend in-person, worship on ZOOM or YouTube, or are a viewer on Rogers TV20 - please know that we consider everyone to be a part of our worship experience and an integral member of our St. Andrew's Guelph community.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this morning's service, both in-person and virtually.

Join us on our St. Andrew's Guelph YouTube Channel, select the live service, and remember to invite your friends and families. You can also join us via ZOOM by following the link in your Sunday morning email. If you'd like to begin receiving our weekly emails, you can sign up here.

We who are strong ought to put up with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Each of us must please our neighbour for the good purpose of building up the neighbour. For Christ did not please himself; but, as it is written, “The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.”  For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, so that by steadfastness and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.

Call to Worship

611 For all the saints

Prayer of Adoration and Confession
Declaration of Forgiveness

Living Waters

Are you thirsty, are you empty
Come and drink these Living Waters
Time unbroken, peace unspoken
Rest beside these Living Waters

Christ is calling, find refreshing
At the cross of Living Waters
Lay your life down, all the old gone
Rise up in these Living Waters

 There's a river that flows
With mercy and love
Bringing joy to the city of our God
There our hope is secure
Do not fear anymore
Praise the Lord of Living Waters

 Spirit moving, mercy washing
Healing in these living waters
Lead your children to the shoreline
Life is in these Living Waters

 There's a river that flows
With mercy and love
Bringing joy to the city of our God
There our hope is secure
Do not fear anymore
Praise the Lord of Living Waters

Are you thirsty
Are you empty
Come and drink these Living Waters
Love, forgiveness
Vast and boundless
Christ, He is our Living Water

There's a river that flows
With mercy and love
Bringing joy to the city of our God
There our hope is secure
Do not fear anymore
Praise the Lord of Living Waters

Remembrance of the Faithful Departed
God of all consolation, in your unending love and mercy you turn the darkness of death into the dawn of new life.

Grateful Love Abides
From hearts that we have treasured, from lives that we have shared, from loves that walked beside us, from friends for whom we’ve cared, we’ve learned to treasure kindness, we’ve learned that grace provides, we’ve learned to be together, we’ve learned that love abides. Sylvia Dunstan

Prayer of Gratitude

We thank You God for the time we had with these precious people and for all of our dearly departed loved ones. Give us grace to follow their faith, hope and charity, that together with them we may know the purpose and abundance of this life and the wonder of eternal life, through Jesus Christ, our Saviour.  Amen.

Prayer for Illumination

Gracious God of hope, as we listen to your word, fill us with peace and purpose. By your Spirit grant to us understanding of your will that we may be your love. Equip us to follow Jesus, inspired and encouraged by all who did the same and now rest eternal by your side. Through Christ we pray. Amen.

Tune #79 Come Together

Prayer of Dedication

Loving God, thankful for everyone who gave of themselves, and what they had, to better our lives, we gladly give, honouring them and serving you. May we, like them, seek to bear your Good News in all times and circumstances. Freely we give even as we have received from generation unto generation. As Christ’s body on earth, we pray. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

We gather on the traditional territory of the Wendat, the Anishnaabeg and the Haudenosaunee Peoples. We are also on lands that are part of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum. We live and work, worship, learn and meet on lands that are the traditional territory of many different Indigenous Peoples who were here before the establishment of European colonies.
